Lisa Locke

Lisa, a visual artist from Newfoundland and Labrador, finds inspiration in the rugged beauty of the Avalon Peninsula’s Irish Loop, where she spent her early years. Now based in Topsail, CBS, her deep connection to nature, shaped by a life by the sea, is at the heart of her work. Lisa’s art focuses on capturing the unique landscapes of Newfoundland and Labrador using watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and free-motion embroidery. A dedicated lifelong learner, she has studied under established artists like James Middleton, Margaret Walsh-Best, Doug Mays, Glenda Bartlett, and George Jarvis. She also completed the Art and Design Essentials program at the College of the North Atlantic, further refining her skills. Believing in nature’s healing power, Lisa’s work reflects the serenity and beauty of the outdoors. She hopes to inspire others to connect with nature, encouraging a sense of calm and appreciation for the landscapes that have shaped her artistic journey.
